Look what MTV did to the kids

yah I met this kid at school
he was talking to all my friends
all the girls think he's so cool
just because he keeps up with all the trends
One week he's hardcore
ditching school and skating there
but when i came in on Monday
he was A&E with bright blond hair
Yah i guess it doesn't matter
what you think or belive
but i guess when your playing to a crowd
you dont care what your about 
I showed up at a party
and he asked me what i think
and he told me he was straght edeg
as he took another drink
the sad part is hes one of the
cool kids at school
he never misses a football game 
and all the cheer leaders think hes cool
I could never be that cool 
ditching my friends with every fad
yah i guess i could never be that cool
but i laughed at them every chance i had
